The BDR file extension is most commonly used to designate Publisher Border Files. These Publisher BDR files hold border designs that can be used in the creation of documents. The Publisher program offers more than 160 different border designs, and a range of settings, which are cataloged in 15 separate BDR files within the Borders folder of the program.BDR files are document files associated with Office 2007 and are only used to store pre-designed formatting features to make borders and edging art for marketing media and other documents. Since BDR files contain pre-designed border graphics, they are not able to be edited.
